Welcome to the home page of Kinneskie House Quality B&B
Kinneskie House is a large modern bungalow, located on the Black Isle, 1½ miles from the
village of Munlochy, with superb
views across the Moray Firth to the Cairngorm National Park and beyond.
Our location is rural, encircled
as we are by farm and wood land, and we are
surrounded by our own 1½ acre grounds.
Our location is an ideal base to enjoy the Scottish Highlands, The Black
Isle, Inverness and Loch
Ness.
Inverness,
the capital of the Highlands, is only 15 minutes drive from us, offering
everything from a castle and cathedral, to riverside walks,
a modern shopping arcade, galleries, a fabulous second hand book shop, cafes
and a wide range of restaurants and bars including one with live traditional
Scottish music every night.
The are many beautiful walks
in the area, especially the RSPB reserves at Fairy Glen and Udale bay, and
for the more serious walker Ben Wyvis at 3432ft, sometimes referred to
Inverness's Munro, is just a short distance away. As is Chanonry Point,
reputed to be the best place in the UK to see Bottle Nosed Dolphins.

Red Kyte
Local to us are Red Kyte
which are seen in some numbers often wheeling high above on the air
currents. More often seen though are Buzzards sitting on telephone or fence
posts awaiting their next meal. On very rare occasions Eagles have been seen
too. Birds often seen in our garden are, mainly Finches, Tits, Wagtails,
Pheasants and woodpeckers etc. The Pheasants who are quite characterful and
fun to watch and do regularly scrounge peanuts!
Kinneskie House has been
awarded "4 Stars - Excellent"
by the Scottish Tourist Board.
